Dan, you might try this: Look through your scrap stuff or go to a junk yard, and find an appropriate plastic part on a junk car that you can use as a repair patch... something flat and solid. Then, run a bead of silicone around the hole, drop the repair patch into place and pop rivet it there. On *some* plastics, you can use a soldering iron tip to melt & weld plastic parts together, kind of like metal welding. (My son showed me that trick.)
