src fork brace - issues!!

Nick, Mounting the brace at top of the lower fork I got 0.25" clearence on the stock Dunlop. Has anyone with this type of brace come up with a satisfactory way of attaching the rubber boots to the fork brace? I know with K9 brace that the boots can be hooked over. Graeme A16 South Lake Tahoe, CA
