At best it will make your brakes feel mushy, at worst it will plug up your brakes. http://www.belray.com/consumer/Q&A%20pages/q&abf.html There is no benefit to DOT 5 over DOT 4 unless your bike is a garage queen. That is why Harley Davidson ships their bikes with it. Other theories might be: 1) If is spills it won't hurt your paint. I guess HD expects thier brakes to leak. 2) It gives the brakes a mushy feel since the silicon is more compressible. HD riders are used to mushy brakes and expect it. Real brakes might scare them. 3) Since many HD's are garage queens, the brake fluid won't suck-up moisture over time causing corrosion in the braking system that might occur with DOT 4 fluid. 4) It's got a bigger number and it cost more so it must be better. Isn't this the HD philosophy? Any other theories? There has to be something about silicon and biker chicks in there somewhere..... This list is for KLR information, not uninformed, childish rantings. It's obvious you don't like Harleys, BUT it's also obvious that you don't know squat about 'em........... By the way, I currently own a KLR, a Ducati, a BMW and yes, a Harley. Ridin' not Rantin' NCRider>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
