I read on a tire seller's web page that the D606 was discontinued. I
thought it was a new model. Does anyone out there know the true
story? Thanks.

only, no good> my d606 rear tire scap after 7000km (the tire is good on bitum
Glad to hear that you got at least 5k out of the 606. I just put a set on and also do allot of road riding (commuting) but wanted the knobbbie for some upcoming trips. I miss the smooth ride of the 80- 20 tires that I replaced. I agree that the next set will be something different just for comparison sake.
