I just ordered a rear stainless line for my KLR650. It came in
the "street" box but has a big warning flag on it that
has "Race/Offroad Only".
I bought this bike used, it has the Russell front line. I called
Russell and they said that the warning was correct and that it is
the only one they make for the KLR. Only diference I see is the
clear outer cover over the stainless about 2" long on the ends of
the front is not on the rear. The guy at Russell didn't seem to be
that sharp...any info on this?

russell rear brake line.
I think Russell just doesn't want to get D.O.T. approval for the line, so for ligitgation purposes they put on the race/offroad sticker. May not be the reason, but the bikes have to get approved before their sold, and changing brake lines may be under their jurisdiction. I've used Russell lines for years and have had no problems. I'd just put it on and not worry about it. Dave
