Post by mike kmet » Mon Sep 09, 2002 1:38 pm

howdy, I am going to phoenix for a couple days sept 24 or so , looking to rent a dual sport or similar, cruise america used to rent XL650 but they just told me they no longer have them, bugger. a dual sport would be best but a adventure tour would work too. I am not interested in a harley. thanks Mike Kmet _________________________________________________________________ Join the world s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com

The other likely candidate would be a BMW. Rarely have I seen japanese bikes for rent. For a laugh, rent a sportster and "dual sport" it with a set of DOT knobbies. Return it like that. Devon mike kmet wrote:

nklr rent dual sport in phoenix az?

I investigated this when I went to Atlanta for Thanksgiving a few years ago. Of course they got an ice storm the day I was supposed to pick up the bike so it didn't happen. Skip the BMW web site, look for any and all motorcycle dealers within 90min drive or so from Phoenix from 411, and start calling. That's how I found Blue Moon Cycles in Atlanta. Internet searching helps too, and sometimes a shop you call that doesn't rent bikes will know one in the area that does. If you're traveling alone, consider packing light and searching cities a few hundred miles away if it's cheap enough to fly there instead of Phoenix. I could have rented a R1100ST (I think that's what it was, full luggage) for $150/day. 200mi on one of those is a trip to the grocery store. Devon mike kmet wrote:

Does anybody out there have a rear brake caliper that they would be willing to part with? If so, how much, etc...? Kelley A3 A16 D12 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Finance - Get real-time stock quotes http://finance.yahoo.com
