windshield help, clearview for me

Hi Charles, I bought a new shield for the Alaska trip I just returned from. I went w/ Clearview (+9 inches from stock I believe, thick for strength, clear.) It took a beating from rocks, road grime, rain, wind, and millions of unlucky bugs - and performed great. I'm 5'6" w/ a 32-33 inch inseam, and the screen directs air flow just over my helmet. I believe my previous screen was a Rifle tinted screen, taller than stock - which didn't work for me (directed air right at eye level), and was thinner material. Clearview (http://www.clearviewshields.com/) also has an excellent return policy. Stuart Heaslet's article influenced my decision: http://www.dualsportnews.com/new/pdf/ProductReviewClearviewWindshield. pdf Here's more info: http://dualsportnews.com/shields.html BTW - You'll want to replace the Kawi shield bolts (see Heaslet's article) - one of mine fell off somewhere in Canada. Gotta love zipties. Happy riding, Cookie A14

In fact, I usually only need about 12 inches of pavement closest to the curb. Wow what narrow shoulders. Teasing aside. Love bikes of the pedal type too but knees won't and don't like doing it anymore. I always give bicycles all the room possible and wave at them also. Andy in Jennings, La.
