carburetor trouble.....bike blowing smoke.

Hey everyone, recently I fixed a leak in the fuel bowl seal on my carb. I renewed the seal and gave the carb a clean, but other than that I didn't change a thing and simply put it back together. Everything has been fire for the last two weeks, then yesterday things started playing up. I'll list the problems 1. Bike Starts fine, but has no top end. If the throttle is opened to full the bike makes a deep hollow popping sound and looses all power. 2. Lotsa smoke! The bike acts like is running super rich. Opening the choke makes things worse. 3. The spark plug is quickly fouled with carbon and is generally filthy. I'm not sure if the trouble is with the carb, or perhaps a hose somewhere. I've read that even busted seals in the engine housing can cause problems. However, given that I had the carb apart a couple of weeks ago it seems that the carb is the likely suspect. Thanks for any help Chris.
