I see many posters here listing a model type at the end of their
messages. Am curious how I would know what mine is. I have an '89
KLR 650 that may be for sale soon.

No, the LDR Ron spells his name Ayres, whereas the dealer Ron is
Ayers. I thought the same thing. Check out LDR Ron's web page:
