I have about 23,000 miles on my 98 KLR and when I start it up after it
has sat up for a few days or a week, I have noticed it smokes pretty
good upon starting. It seems to go away after getting warm. I haven't
noticed any real difference in oil usage. Is this anything to bee
concerned about? No I haven't been putting my 2 stroke pre mix in the
tank.
Anyone heard of how Mariola is doing? Is she back on tour or did she
decide she had enough?

I am working on implementing a comprehensive doohickey poll, which
will be posted on the DSN_klr650 Poll page. It will consist of
multiple questions, which I hope will gather enough data for
statistical types to glean useful information from.
Professor Jim has graciously offered to help me with the questions
and I hope to have a second draft ready in a few days. Any listers
who are interested in reviewing the poll questions can email me
offline and when the second draft is ready I will gladly send you a
copy too.
One other thing, the Group Poll page is going to be rather limiting
for this poll, but I can make it work for what I have in mind. If
anyone has any leads on websites where I can park a more
sophisticated poll please let me know.
Later,
Brad Davis

Hello everyone!
I have the same problem in my tengai 650.
I found some oil in the compartment that allocates the
air filter. Does everyone know if the oil should be
there?
Should I clean the compartment?
Thanks!
