220 mph klr

Well - as I rolled over 6,000 miles on the odometer on my way home from the Seattle Tech session, I think the exhaust note known as "tweety" found me. It's a high-pitched sound that responds to throttle change - it's gotta be tweety. I'm living w/ it for now. Also - less than 1 mile from home I was pulled over by one of Oregon's finest. Headlight out. The fuse blew - and was replaced w/ a 15A that evening. It seems the KLR is trying to tell me something? From lurking on the list -these quirks were known expectations, not surprises. Thanks listers! I'm giving in to paranoia and will take a quick peek at the idler shaft lever this weekend. Heading for Alaska in 23 days! I just finished checking out the website for the 2002 AlCan5000. Good luck and happy riding to their first cyclists!! (Skip and Tumu on this list?) Looks like Tumu has lots of Beemer company. Skip F. used to be a member of this list a long time ago and now looks like he gone over to the Dark Side.
