Hi all. It's been allmost 3 months and 3500km since I got my KLR. I just noticed that I can lock the steering and that there is also a park position. It's labeled P. When I put the key in that position the rear light comes on. Why? Does anybody have a explanation for that. I would have looked in th Owner's Manual but I don't have it. Just curious. Thanks. Raz, Kawasaki implemented the PARK position in a secret agreement with battery manufacturers to sell more batteries to inattentive owners who leave the parking light on accidently and fully discharge their batteries. All kidding aside, it's a safety feature to make your bike more visible to inattentive car drivers when you've pulled over to the side of the road.
