I have 420 miles and already have a seep. Lower case it looks like
and just one drip after a mid range ride. Does this happen a lot? I'm
going to complain to the dealer about it when I take it in for the
500 mile service. I read the posts on changing the handle bar grips
and was a bit leary, but mine were not too bad to take off. Maybe 15
minutes tops. The Pro Grip Gels are way better than OEM.

I have 12,500 fairly hard miles on my '01, and no oil leaks. There is NO
excuse for a new bike built in 2001 to have an oil leak.

I'm taking my 01' in on Wednesday to have the counter shaft seal replaced...
with 4 days of warranty left! It has seeped since new.

In the words of Disraeli (or Palmerston? maybe WC
Fields?): The position is ridiculous, the pleasure is
momentary, the consequences severe!
Don't ask how I know.
