Anarchists unite!!! Oh...wait...then it won't be anarchy any more.
After reading that piece, I can envision Lenin riding into town on his
red KLR to lead us into worker's uptopia.
No thanks.

A "similarly militant" organized movement would never happen in this day
and age. Generally speaking, we're only concerned with getting our own
slice of the pie and to hell with society at large.

Where was this link when I was writing a paper on anarchy for English
1A? Oh wait, I forgot... Al Gore hadn't invented the internet yet.
But on a more serious note, a government that fears its citizenry is
a government to be feared. Thanks for the reminder.

A "similarly militant" movement of that scale hasn't occurred since
Kennedy was in office. (SHH. You're not supposed to know.)

Oh a contrar - a government that fears its citizenry is the ONLY goverment
of any value to its citizenry.
I am truly hoping that you meant to say "a government that DOES NOT fear its
citizenry is a government to be feared".

Geez this could get tangled. Where is DeTocqueville now that I
finally need him? My point is that the government "should" be
willing servants of the people. For the most part, I don't see much
evidence of them accepting that role. (Think massive BLM land
closures.) In that respect, the government does not fear the
people. They don't even take us seriously. On the other hand, fear
of uprising is demonstrated by what happened during the Haymarket
Square incident. I won't even go into Randy Weaver or Waco. IMHO a
fearful government is an oppressive government. The government
should have a healthy respect for the people. But fear tends to lead
to irrational decisions.
Can you tell it's a slow day? I gotta get outta here and go for a
ride!
