I tried a Travelcade gel seat on my GS. I found it to be no better
than the stock saddle. With either of those, it only took about an
hour of riding before my girlfriend and I started to feel extremely
pained in the butt. The Corbin for the GS was a bit wide but very
comfortable. I ended up with a Bill Mayer custom seat that was the
best compromise for us.

Has anyone tried the Gelseat that is offered by Dual Star for
$130.00.
I currently have a Corbin (dipped) and find it not much more
comfortable than the old stock seat. Wondering if the Gelseat is
any better. Does it have the same slant as the stock seat or is it
more like the Corbin?

Another solution is to buy an oval-shaped gelpad (Butt buffer? is one
brand, I think they have web site), carve out a hollow in the
existing foam using an electric knife, insert the pad, recover it
with the existing cover using a staple gun, and the results are
great. I got the idea from Bogdan. Look in the achives for details
my tale of woe - very klr!

Ya'all give me some advice here please.. How big of a
deal is it cracking open the trany and checking that
out. As some may recall mine broke and the peice was
never found. alos i thought a new niose apeard that
seemed to be coming from the front spocket. But when i
took it for a test ride it was also my first time
riding it without a helmet so it might have been a
niose i was just never able to hear. I bought the bike
used so no tellin how long it had been broke. might
have even came out in an oil change with previouse
owner. It was a BIG peice wouldnt have been able to
get it out in one piece.
Do youall hear any nioses coming from front sprocket
on your bikes? btw after fixing broken piece ive put
another 800 miles on it so far.
