Can anyone tell me what size drill to use when drilling out my slide per the
DynoJet kit.
Also, is it possible to drill out the pilot jet ( what size ) or should I
just but a new one
.
Thanks in advance.

drilling out the carb. slide
Steve,
The new jet will cost less than a good drill bit. Also, you will be
sure it is the right size. Especially in a hand drill, drill bits really
tend to oversize the holes a little bit (not to mention they are rarely
very round either).
At least for the 36mm Mikuni roundslide on my SR500s, jets are around
$5 each or less. Try carbparts.com. If you ask the dealer, most will
look up on the microfiche and then tell you they aren't available. Or,
it will be much more expensive.

It is possible, but like other people have replied, not desirable. Use a proper jet. Mister_T Melbourne Australia> Also, is it possible to drill out the pilot jet ( what size ) or should I > just but a new one

Because the 400 is way more modern, and uses exotic metals for the engine
cases,its water-cooled,DOHC etc.The DR650 is older technology,SOHC,air-cooled
