the thing is inherently unstable- so it must use probably half of the battery capacity to run the gyro (to keep it from falling over). i bet the little elec. scootters (wheels in-line) they sell at GI Joes run faster and longer. plus the thing does'nt have brakes! so stopping probably can't occur quickly. someone will eventuallly get runn over by a car using one of these "segways" because they couldn't stop fast enough- and sue the manuf. thus ending production. i think he was just trying to find a use for his gyro! sort of like developing nuclear elec. production from weapons technology- overly high tech. for the intended result. like cutting butter with a chainsaw. mark [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]

Geeze, give the guy a break. People probably blasted the first motorcycle also, look where we are now. I think the idea is innovative and could lead to great things in the future, just give it time to grow and refine. Oh, by the way, Mark... Nukes Rule. Gino

I hope the technology can be applied to the handicapped. It would help make thousands of people mobile that are otherwise trapped to crutches and wheelchairs. Today an award was made to an 18 year old boy for inventing a glove that will allow international sign language to be displayed on a small screen. Others thought of it...this boy perfected the idea and will now get a patent because he made it work. BTW, he won a $100,000 scholarship. Therefore, I think the technology of Ginger is only limited by our minds and imagination.
