I checked out the KLR Timeline link that someone put up. Is it just me, or is the A1 the hottest looking KLR? I've never seen one before - I wonder how many are still kicking around? I'm not going to comment on the model year that I thought was the ugliest - I don't want to offend any fellow KLRers out there. John in T.O. A11 (somewhat regretebly)

Dang right it is. Kinda sorry I sold mine, but it had too many things that needed fixing. The A2 wasn't bad, either. Now I've got a boring color that even purple fork booties won't liven up--but she's a strong runner. Arden Kysely A11 "Mr. K"

Welllllll, I didn't want to mention it around such a bunch of macho dudes, but I've got the purple grips, too. And white Acerbis hand guards courtesy of the former owner. It's kinda Easter-Eggy but at least I can find my bike in a crowd. Nobody's made fun of it...yet. I checked Pat's site and I could live with just about anything but the A9. Arden Kysely A11 "Mr. K"

As the owner of an A9, I'd have to say it is the ugliest my far. I bought the thing to ride, not to look at, so appearance isn't that high on the list........ Besides, from a rides view, I not blinded by yellow and purple, so no big deal. I've gotten rid of the purple fork boot recently when I did the seals. The next to go it the purple seat when it gets redone. Next spring I'm going to ditch the yellow and purple graphics. I looks like Walt Disney puked all over my bike! Anyone ever experiment with making there own stickers? I'm know my way around Photoshop and have some ideas, but am unsure how to get them on the bike. Any ideas? Subject: $1 Pay A young family moved into a house next door to a vacant lot. One day a construction crew turned up to start building a house on the empty lot. The young family's 6 year old daughter naturally took an interest in all the activity going on next door and started talking with the workers. She hung around and eventually the construction crew - gems in the rough all of them - more or less adopted her as a kind of project mascot. They chatted with her, let her sit with them while they had coffee and lunch breaks, and gave her little jobs to do here and there to make her feel important. At the end of the first week they even presented her with a pay envelope containing a dollar. The little girl took this home to her mother who said all the appropriate words of admiration and suggested that they take the dollar pay she had received to the bank the next day to start a savings account. When they got to the bank the teller was equally impressed with the story and asked the little girl how she had come by her very own pay check at such a young age. The little girl proudly replied, "I've been working with a crew building a house all week." "My goodness gracious," said the teller, "and will you be working on the house again this week too?" "I will if those useless cocksuckers at the lumber yard ever bring us the fuckin' drywall," replied the little girl. Ugliest? What with that high vis neon turquoise contrast with the royal puke purple retro 60's color scheme? Fashion for the starving. Todd A9 (parts should be in today, happy birthday) A3
