Dual Sport News
October 2001
Subject: Subscriptions/Ownership change
Dear Dual Sport News Subscribers,
The Dual Sport News changed ownership in late August 2001. The business has changed locations from Salt Lake City, Utah to Ojai, California. Additionally there has been a vast personnel change. Layout, Editing, Subscriptions, Advertising, and Website have all started anew in California. All documents and inventory have been moved to California as part of this move.
Our first publication under new ownership has been printed and is being mailed at this time. We are well underway with a skilled new staff and we hope you all enjoy Dual Sport news in the times ahead.
Due to the extensive nature of transfer of ownership, a physical moving of all departments, and necessary time involved in assembling and implementing a new staff the issue/publication prior to transfer, and the issue/publication during transfer will not be printed. This specifically means that the June-July 2001 issue and August-September 2001 issue will not be printed. We have already updated your account in our subscriber database. To be clear, what this means is the number of issues you subscribed for will be the number of issues you receive. This has been already automatically done and there is no need for you to do anything. We offer our deepest apologies and sincere regrets regarding this interruption. It has been a physical impossibility to try and assemble these two issues due to the complexities involved in the change of ownership. We have made the practical decision that it would be most appropriate for you to receive current, up to date information, rather than dated information.
I wish to thank our many devoted and dedicated subscribers, new subscribers, and advertisers for believing in and supporting us. I wish to thank all prior Staff persons of Dual Sport News for laboring so hard with so much love to create such a fine and noted journal.
We are now moving forward and will be providing you an even further developing journal, while keeping in mind the ideals upon which the Dual Sport News was founded We have two new internationally known writer-authors who will be joining our staff. Our production staff has quadrupled, and we are inspired at the thought of providing our readers a new and progressive publication.
I am very excited about what I see as the 'adventure' ahead with Dual Sport News. I invite you all to come along, to share and contribute, as the new Dual Sport News continues to grow and expand.
Sincerely,
Tobin S. Lampson
Owner, Dual Sport News

heavy-duty 17" tube
Posted: Thu Nov 01, 2001 12:17 am

Doc,
I'm with you, I saw the part of their web site advertising that tube, didn't
dream it wasn't actually 17"! I guess if a front tube will work in a pinch,
the 18" tube should be OK on the rear rim. But they shouldn't advertise it
as 17" IMHO.
Marshall in Afton, Ok
Just asking them to do (or sell) what they say they will
