I tried to find the tank bags at Wal Mart, is there a brand name I can ask for or something more specific. They would be in the automotive dept.? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Make a great connection at Yahoo! Personals. http://personals.yahoo.com

Many Wal-Marts don't have them. They're supposedly in the ATV section at Wal-Mart. ATV section? I've never seen an ATV section in any Wal-Mart. I guess I live in the wrong part of the country... RM

You can find these tank bags in the sporting goods department, usually in sections of the country where people like to hunt and fish. Not all Wal Marts carry them, as I have noticed throughout my travels. These tank bags are not very durable, and require some modifications with velcro or straps to make them work on motorcycles. IMHO they are a waste of money for any serious biker. Lloyd Rauschkolb Gulfport, Ms. A15 --- rm@... wrote:

shin and knee protection

I have a set of what can best be described as armoured ice-skating tights. Hard armour in the shin, knee, thigh, and hip. I wear baggy jeans over them so I don't look silly (too late?). I think they are made by Dianese or MSR. They were around $100, and are perforated nylon. They let a lot of air through in the summer, but putting rain pants over them makes them really warm. They are really easy to move around in, unlike my armoured leathers I use for streetbike rides. They also fit under my one-piece winter suit comfortably, along with my chest protector.
