I'm thinking about getting a snowmobile helmet for this winter's
riding. I'm tired of fighting fog with my street helmet. I find sleet
(sloppy and humid) to be the absolute worst conditions with my
current helmet. Anyone have recommendations for a full-face snow
helmet?
How about the Bieffe 3-sport with the snow shield?
HJC?
Others?
Thanks!

I was going to say $1000 tops for this ride. Maybe Mark is closer with $800.

This concerns me thought sound is a subjective thing. Are you sure that you
can discern the difference between chain and valve train noise ? The
balancer chain is a problem for some klrs.

It might go 50-60k unless it has a messed up balancer system which will cost
you about $300 to fix if you do it yourself.

No idea, but please post your results. I ride all year, and have terrible
problems with my faceplate fogging. Are any of the snowmobile lids Snell?

Mark--
I have the Bombardier (I think Lazer makes it) that they sell at
Ski Doo shops. It is excellent at dissipating your breath outside the
helmet even in the most vigorous activities (i.e. trying to get a 500#
sled unstuck in deep powder). It is a little louder than a good street
helmet but certainly tolerable with ear plugs. I paid $300.00 when it
first hit the market couple of years ago. Also is DOT.
