plastic tanks

Just thinking bout it. BMW has them on the R11GS's for a few years. No
problem with most of them. Lots of guys wanted to change them out just
because the thought they might bubble in the futrue. I did 50K miles on
mine without a problem. Oh yes, the guys that did change out were
surprized. The new steel ones held 1 gal less fuel.
Also, my '69 Norton Commando had a fiberglass tank.

Anyone know the name of the outfit that sells the plastic tank for the klr
and hopefully their website address. I thought it was IMS but I can't locate
them on the net.

Put it down for one more pair, y2k KLR and a 99ST standard in south west

I have exactly the same cycle combo - 99KLR and a 97ST. I have been
tracking the list for several years now, and KLR's and ST's are
surprisingly common stable mates.
