If your house is where you reside most of the time, yes it has ten wheels. it also has computer, TV, VCR, fax machine ,DDS satellite system, refrigerator, microwave oven,scanner, 10 disc CD player, cell phone, electric typewriter,printer,satellite communication and two beds. five hundred horse power engine ten speed Manuel transmission auto shifter it has three hundred thirty five thousand miles ,and just put on second set of tires and it is not even out of warrantee yet. I expect a million miles before major repairs. I can put the KLR on back instant RV.if you want to talk truck lets talk TRUCK other wise I always remember what my boss mechanic told me ." don't ever turn your nose up at someone 's vehicle. They are driving either what they want to or what they can afford to and either way treat it with respect it is not yours to judge " That was from the best mechanic I have ever met by the name of Sandy Nutt.in 1968.wise man. now a wise old man. Hi Kevin and list, I just did a 2-day San Francisco to Yosemite and back. Took 238 to 120. 120 runs into Yosemite, and is all new blacktop. Very smooth with some nice twisties going through the flats turning into a series of hairpin turns going up the mountain. Elevation was over 4000 and didn't have any problems with the K&N stage 1 jetting at that altitude. First stop was to pitch a tent at a campsite In Groveland, about 25 miles south of Yosemite. Wasn't sure how full the campsites at Yosemite would be and I was running out of daylight. $12 for a rock infested site and I didn't have my foam mat with me. Ouch! Unloaded the bike and went into town. What a blast! Found the town bar (The IronDoor) to be hoppin' with a kick-ass band and lots of friendly folks. (The girl who won the 18" cucumber is another thread). Got the bike loaded up and breakfast out of the way by 9am and headed into Yosemite. $10 park entrance is good for 7 days. A lot of roads begged for my attention before I got into the park with names like "Hell's Hollow" and "Dry Gulch" but I really wanted to get into the park so I blew 'em off (this time). Inside Yosemite is another endless choice of roads. I explored a few that started out as gravel and turned into dirt fire roads which then turned into trails used by free ranging cattle in the area. The beauty of the park is beyond words. I'll have pics to post as soon as I get the film developed. I slowly made my way up to the Hetch Hetchy reservoir, which was this trip's goal. Even the paved park roads are a bunch of fun. Of course speed is limited in the park, but I am there to sightsee anyway, so I don't mind. I encountered very few cars in the park... which I thought was amazing for a holiday weekend. Scoped out the campsites in the park... that's the place to set up. They have nice elevated platforms with a bed of sand to pitch your tent on. Lot of other bikers going to and from Yosemite. Only negatives on this trip was the bee that got up under the back of my helmet and planted his stinger, the stock saddle (Corbin is coming next month), and on the return - you are left with no doubt in your mind as to why they placed those windmills in the Altamont Pass. There had to be a 30-40 mph headwind going through the pass. So I probably did 200 miles the first day, and 300 the second. I highly recommend route 120. 2 lane, newly paved with a lot of passing zones to get around campers. Even without the passing zones, 90% of the people on the road moved over enough to let you by. Gotta love legal lane splitting in California! I'm up for this trip again and more park exploring, but not until I get rid this current seat. What's this thing made of anyway? Mahogony? Oak? Jeff A15
