I'm new to this list and have been in lurk mode for awhile. I don't own a KLR at present, but have a good friend who does. His bike starts and runs great when cold, but after riding for a while and stopping sometimes the starter will not work. After some wiggling of the kickstand, the clutch, ignition key, etc., the bike will start and run fine. Someone suggested to him that it is the interlock system that prevents the bike from being driven with the stand down that is the problem. Is this the culprit? Has anyone had this problem and how did you solve it? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Ray.

In another age, Kawi put dual range transmissions on their enduros (dual-sports). I wonder what happened to that idea. --- Steve Pye wrote:

Common issues Ray, most of us disconnect the sidestand and neutral safety switches for this reason... Kurt
