A KListeR preached the brotherhood of ALL motorcyclists at the same
time he
was writing a mfr. of bike electrical equipment whose product's
quality had
been questioned on-list. Assuming the role of spokesman for the
list, he
apologized to the mfr. for the "malcontents" among us. He then
posted the
mfr.'s response along with the self-aggrandizing comment, "Just
thought I'd
share this with you all. Making peace can sometimes move mountains."
Thanks, Brother, but I can speak for myself. If the product is
unsatisfactory, kissing the mfr.'s ass is counterproductive. If the
product
is OK, the ass-kissing is unnecessary. Open debate among
the "malcontents"
is the only way to establish the worth of the product.
"Just thought I'd share this with you all. Making peace can
sometimes move
mountains." Awww, how sweet! Can I have a hug? Maybe this lister
could
make peace with the conservationists he was haranguing the previous
day and
thereby move a mountain or two out of the protected area, to a
location more
convenient to himself. How inconsiderate of God to have placed them
where
He did!
