Regarding job layoffs in the U.S. Joe Smith of New Orleans started the day early having set his alarm clock (MADE IN JAPAN) for 6 a.m. While his coffeepot (MADE IN CHINA) was perking, he shaved with his electric razor (MADE IN HONG KONG). He put on a dress shirt (MADE IN SRI LANKA), designer jeans (MADE IN SINGAPORE) and tennis shoes (MADE IN KOREA). After cooking his breakfast in his new electric skillet (MADE IN INDIA) he sat down with his calculator (MADE IN MEXICO) to see how much he could spend today. After setting his watch (MADE IN TAIWAN) to the radio (MADE IN INDIA) he got in his car (MADE IN GERMANY) and continued his search for a good paying AMERICAN JOB. At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day, Joe decided to relax for a while. He put on his sandals (MADE IN BRAZIL) poured himself a glass of wine (MADE IN FRANCE) and turned on his TV (MADE IN INDONESIA), and then wondered why he can't find a good paying job in ..AMERICA..... ____________________ IRS: We've got what it takes to take what you've got. Unemployed and driving a German car? No wonder he's broke. Sell the BMW or Mercedes, buy a used Yugo, take the rest of the money and go to night school, become a "consultant" for the US headquarters of a multi-national corporation, pull in $100,000 a year for saying "yes sir looks good to me" not doing a darn thing. "Swede" - get's payed just enough to care enough to not tell the boss "Blow Me!".

Good one Mark. You forgot to mention that he filled up the fuel tank of his old beat up VW with gas refined from IMPORTED oil. He then put air into his IMPORTED tires. He drove over to the auto parts store to buy an IMPORTED water pump for his IMPORTED car. I can go on and on... At least some of the non domestic cars are being assembled in the U.S. Heck, even domestic cars are built with IMPORTED parts. Brad Who rides an IMPORTED KLR.

That's pretty funny Les! Let me look around my place and see how many things are made in America. What's this? 15-25% max? I don't keep that many old fast-food bits around here and at least THOSE are made in America.
