Mounted this gizmo (heavy duty model) on my Toy 4-Runner with factory Class III hitch. This rig requires you to back up to a grade. You can NOT load a KL650 on flat ground without physically lifting that 350# bike. BUT... once loaded, it has practically NO ground clearance! And the peg holders they sent for the HD model (designed specially for the KL650) do not fit correctly (hooks too narrow for the KL650 pegs). But they can make me peg holders ($?) for any width peg I might have! They've had NO complaints from KLR-650 owners who have bought them before. Any MotoJackRack owners out there who can comment? TIA! Don

I haven't tried this yet, but I've seen two KLR's with small directional vanes that direct air to the AFT side of the windscreen. These vanes are located on both sides of the fairing, and add pressure to the air pocket behind the screen. The theory is that is a)lifts the turbulent boundary layer as it arcs over the top lip of the screen (clears the top of the rider's helmet), and b)helps equalize pressure on the screen reducing pressure on the mount tabs. Jacket ventilation might be a factor too. Dr. Krok? Fireball
