Anyone have any idea where I might get the best price on a 2002 KLR? One thing I might try is to use my Amex Blue card. If I can document a cheaper price, they will refund the difference. I've been trying to find a huge, web-enabled Kawasaki dealer that states they have the lowest prices, but still having no luck. Thank in advance.

Hi, this is my first post to the list in a long time. I guess the age thing brought me out of lurk mode. I'm 41, I'll be 42 in a few months. I bought my A5 (91) KLR Two years ago while going through my mid life crises. When I proudly road it over to my parents house to show them. My aunt who was visiting, took one look at it and said "Well, I guess it's better than a blond." She was right too. I've had more fun on this bike than any I've ever ridden. I was out of riding for a few years while I made a living for my family. My wife who is a brunet told me years ago that when the kids were grown that we could get a nice touring bike when I retired. She told me this after we took a ride from our little apartment in salt lake City over to and up Provo canyon to Sundance theater, at the time she was 8 months along with our first child. Well I'm not ready to retire but I am a little more comfortable as far as money is concerned So I just thought that I would get a little practice before I retire so I bought the KLR. I wanted to tell the list about my Son. His name is Brian and last Sept. he came to me and said Dad if I don't watch TV or play video games for a whole year will you buy me a bike. Well I thought about it for a few minutes and talk to his mother and we all agreed knowing full well that no 15 year old boy is going to stay away from TV and video games for a whole year. I told him I couldn't afford a new bike but if he made it I would buy him a nice used one. (It's what the budget will allow.) Anyway he's almost done it. He went through the whole school year with a 4.0 strait A's. All the kid does is read, study and now he's getting hooked on old radio plays. After school was over I started to look and finely found him a nice yamaha DT125 enduro. He loves it and he's getting to be a good rider. I told him the bike is still mine until Sept. 1st and he's ok with that because he want's to finish out his year. Anyway the moral to the story is shut off the TV's and teach kids to ride and they will be a lot better off. (Now if I can just get my other kids to make me the same deal.)
