I'll add my 2 cents,
I bought a sidecover for my Tengai last year from one of those internet sites
that advertise in Motorcyclist magazine. It was about $40 including shipping
and came painted with the decal installed, at the time I inquired about the
fairing pieces and were told they were available $285 each. I declined, the
price seemed high, but after buying a bumper for my Mazda MPV for almost $2K
(glad i had insurance) the price doesn't seem so high. Especially if they
come painted with the decals installed (the salesman said they did). Around
here a Tengai sells for $1500-$2000 so if I bought the two fairing pieces,
including tax it would cost almost half what my bike is worth, and I doubt
the value of the bike would increase much. The gas tanks are the same (I
measured) except for the tabs that mount the fairing which are welded on.
Remember these bikes will go 90-100mph so you want to make sure your fairing
doesn't blow off. I don't know anyone that will weld a gas tank but you may
find someone (DON'T TRY TO WELD A GAS TANK YOURSELF, unless you know what
you're doing)
On the ProDuro exhaust, I bought mine used from a local lister that sold
his bike (Carlos, he was at Moab in 2000) It was a year old when I bought it
and I've had it 6 months it has 6 or 7000 miles on it and performs very well
with just a tad more noise than stock. The workmanship is outstanding, I
don't know what they cost new but it sure looks like it cost a lot. Not
having to repack is nice but I like the idea of the muffler not falling
apart. It has turned a nice yellowish color (easily removed with metal
polish) that doesn't look too bad. A friend thought it was Titanium.
