The 5-star stand came with my A9 when I bought it 2 years ago. I understand it lifts a little higher than some of the other stands. If you get one, do yourself a favor and get a sturdy set of bolts for it that are the correct length. I don't know if the ones that came with mine are the type that ship with the stand, but they caused me a big headache. Rev match before letting the clutch go. I do it all the time with no trouble, both at intersections and in the twisties.

Rear brake only 90% of the time, and lots of downshifting works for me. Don't be afraid to drop into first and leggo of the clutch at 20mph. It's kind of fun once you know what to expect, and it seems to be the most stable way to bleed off velocity in the rocks.

Let the tires down to 18 psi or so. VERY BIG difference. Be sure to air 'em back up on the road. RM
