My new Corbin finally arrived today!!!!!! I was told when I ordered
it, it would take 4 to 5 weeks. It took 10 weeks.
The seat looks great. I got the "modified" KLR version in black with a
forest green welt. The top is done in the accent leather with vinyl
sides. Not quite as flashy as that red one, but I think it's going to
look pretty good.

Enjoy it...in spite of issues many of us have had with Corbin customer
service, the modified Corbin is a terrific choice for the KLR. The seat
gives you a wide base of operation and still allows for movement for and aft
and side to side.

It looks like the seat width is a closer match to my width!

Kimberly to stop looking at him...(g)

Thanks Kurt... I'm Blushing.
I couldn't imagine another bike better suited to me though. It's got
tons of "engineered features" that are totally stupid and need
changing. Just what a creative engineer needs. Chris Krok knows how
I feel. Chris has got some great new stuff coming folks.. stay tuned.
I still can't decide whether I'm honored to have the "Rat Bike" award
this year or not. Thanks to all for looking at my "Not Art" bike and
giving it some attention but other than a prototype dash (that failed
horribly) Everythign is/was installed correctly, with professionalism
and it all actually worked. It's just a different color. If I
switch off my headlight it blends very well in the desert (goal
acheived).
I've changed the name of bike and will get a vanity plate soon (or
NOT!). KHMMV (pronounced CUM-VEE) Kawasaki High Mobility
Multipurpose Vehicle. If I get a vanity plate then I'll be honored
to have the "Rat Bike" Award. Perhaps next year.
It was a pleasure meeting everyone at the "classic" and I'm looking
forward to next year. Kurt ... it was fun to choke on your dust for
a few miles and I wish Daryl didn't have to ditch. I would have
enjoyed the rest of the route even more with the entire group.
A special Thanks to Gino and Fred for all their hard work. I had a
blast.
