Joseph, The supplemental service manual has the valve specs for opening, closing & duration on page 1-4. The stock Kawi cam sprockets have 2 lines on each sprocket that line up with the top of the cylinder head, with the arrows pointing toward the front of the engine when the crankshaft is at TDC. Adjusting the valve lash to Kawi's max recommendation (0.008" intake and 0.010" exhaust) will give you improved low end & mid range power. This may NOT apply to "high performance" after-market cams. Kawi valve clearances tighten up over time. Professor A9 Federal Way, WA. [USA] ps: Is it possible that you have the stock cam sprockets, but they are bolted to the cams with the timing marks facing toward the spark plug?
