It was created for those who don't feel like wading thru 100 emails a day. But this list tends to be old people who don't like change. So no worries. josh At 09:39 PM 5/24/01 +0000, Dale Johnson wrote:

One can subscribe to the list in "Web Only" mode so they get no mail per day, or digest mode, so they get 2 or 3 mails a day comprised of 25 posts each. Of course the people who don't understand this tend to be underage sissy punk bitches who need a slap from their Mamas. So no worries indeed. Attempting to undercut a long established list is one of the most selfish, immature and rude things I can think of. I find it irritating , and yes, it even personally offends me. I see you read "100 mails" the minute you get them, it must have taken you 60 seconds to get back to me... You should treat your elders with respect, young Josh. One of us might be your real Dad. Actually since my dad has a 1993 KLR, perhaps he is on this list. Is the list a damn business? Selfish, immature and rude? I was trying to create a more organized way of looking useful info up. This is just funny that you get offended over it. Get a life. I'm glad you have the time to search 30,000 emails for the info you look for. Some of us don't. The old person comment was in bad taste (although not wrong), and I take that back. Actually I'm in town about once every 3days so I happen to be not busy tonight. But every time I get back from a business trip, I have to look through a ton of messages to find something interesting. And unfortunately the search on yahoo groups isn't that great, if I'm looking for something specific. How many times do we have redundant posts because new people can't seem to find the info they want? Now that dualsport.org isn't working, it's twice as hard. josh At 07:32 PM 5/24/01 -0700, Stuart Mumford wrote:

Easy, easy now, guys! We all know that this IS the one and only DSN list. I can be concidered one of the young pups in the group, BUT when you have a group this size (1200 last time I checked), you have to figure out what options there are. When I first subbed, I knew that there'd be between 50 and 100 posts a day. That is why I chose the "Web Only" format. The other lists I'm on have around 100 members, therefore I get direct mails on them (sometimes trying my patience). When Kurt and/or Arne OR everyone else decides to move this list, I'll move. We all also know there are at least a half a dozen other KLR lists, so good luck with yours Josh, but all my KLR buds and most of my enemies are here with the DSN. "Swede"

I hear ya Josh, I feel your comment was wrong, as well as in bad taste. Generalizations of any kind are, well, generally wrong. I should have sent you that last post off list, too, so I apologize to the list for that booboo on my part. Dualsport.org has moved to http://www.dualsportnews.com http://groups.yahoo.com/group/DSN_klr650/messagesearch?query=dualsport.org Search at Egroups found the answer to this simple question 13 times, the correct info was on the second post I looked at! It was right under your post I am replying to, Josh! However, I feel what you're doing is just as chickenshit as stealing. Like working a Kawi dealer's parking lot with Honda flyers... A lot of folks have given lots of time to make this list the great resource it is, and whether you realize it or not, your efforts may hurt this group. Thanks CA Stu A13 Riverside CA
