crashed klr ... need help with repairs

Post by Gord Hunt » Sun May 13, 2001 10:54 pm

Hey listers. I crashed my 84KLR600 on Monday night. I was cruising along in the ditch beside the highway doing about 60km or so and hit a trench that some farmer decided to build (youch) . Anyways doing 60-0 in half a second didn't do much for me or the bike. I got knocked out but managed to start the bike and ride home 50kms down the highway (don't ask me how). When I got home my wife called an ambulance and off I went to the hospital. After about 4 hours I was free with some major bruising and a nice gash in my chin but otherwise ok. The bike looks ok but the front tire is no where near straight. Just wondering where to start ? I'm thinking of loosening off the triple clamps and the axle and see if I can straighten it out that way. Is there a certain order I should do this in ?? Also, what is the best way to see if the fork tubes are bent or not ?? Thanks in advance, Gord Hunt _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com

No.

You would have to relocate to pickup coil in the alternator case. Mister_T
