This morning I heard that gas could reach $3.00 a gallon on the west coast thus summer. So I wonder if we will see a repeat of the 70's when the fake energy crisis caused motorcycle sales to soar? Gino

Yeah more 700 lb cruisers will be sold; the very same bikes that get less mpg than a small car. Bogdan

We can only hope? (For motorcycles) It's definitely the same thing, the unrefined oil is there in great supply, and the per gallon price for crude doesn't warrant the current pump price. It's the refiners not running as much product through. When you hold back production you can only expect a "shortage". Supply and demand. Watch other oil based products - they're usually a good sign that fuel "shortages" are bogus. Price of fuel goes up, motor oil and lubricating grease goes down? HMM. "Swede"
