I'm hoping to spend a couple of weeks in Colorado in June. Would a Colorado Lister give me some advise on where to go and what to
see (I promise not to stay knowing how much you natives dislike transplants)?
Also, what tires do you recommend for all round adventure touring in your fair state?

We don't mind transplants, if they're like you. It's the THYBFs we
don't like. Anyway, that's a tall order, there's quite a bit to see
and do. I like the Southern part of the state, less people there.
The San Juans are awesome, and along the way there are small canyons
(my neck of the shrubs), The Wet Mountains (Bishop's Castle is
here), The Sangre de Cristo Range (Highway of Legends and Cordova
Pass), In the San Luis Valley is - The Great Sand Dunes NP/NM, The
Gator Farm (yes, there are alligators in the mountains), and The
Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad (narrow gauge steam)-, Then the
San Juans (Gold Camps, Ghost towns (like Crystal), High mountain
passes (Imogene, Engineer, and Black Bear), and the Durango and
Silverton Railroad. OMG, I could go on and on, I love this state!

You can also check in the files section for pics and reports at:

The Crystal trip is my favorite, even if I wrote it.

Ah, yes, South Park - Hartsel, Fairplay, Alma, Como,
Florissant, Divide, and Woodland Park. Not to mention
Cripple Creek and Victor. Delightfully tacky and yet
unrefined. Forgot the Wet Valley and The Spanish Peaks,
whose real name in Ute means "The Breasts of the World".

Who would like a THYBF? I mean they're ugly, smelly, arrogant, and
eat yellow snow. OK, I have no idea what a THYBF is...can anyone
enlighten me or am I better not knowing?

I haven't been following this thread, but has anyone mentioned the
Hein Gericke Taureg jacket? It's not waterproof at all, but it's
well armored and looks like a breather.
