Dude! Maybe you should check the files section yourself!

One of the charts there ( I assume yours ) looks like it was drawn with a
pencil and some graph paper? Even though, it shows 37 hp, the other graph,
which looks like every other legit dyno graph I have ever seen, shows
exactly what I said.
3 runs, one bone stock, one with a jet kit, one with jet kit and I assume
SuperTrapp ( says with 9 discs).
Like I already knew, the run with just a jet kit installed de-tuned the
bike. Look at the dyno run in the file section.
When they threw the pipe on, they got 37 hp.
I have talked to Paul over at Big Gun, and he says that the KLR head pipe is
a very well designed one, and the BG head pipe doesn't give much of an
increased flow.
The muffler is less restrictive, and I feel it gives more off the line
grunt, and allows the motor to over-rev a lot more than the stock pipe, but
as far as HP increase, numbers don't lie.
To un-sugar coat it, 20% HP with just a change in exhaust is pure BULLSHIT!
I went to their shop and bought the FIRST production pipe ever sold for the
KLR 650 , I work about 6 miles form their shop in Ontario CA.
I suggest you get a catalog from them and read it, because your argument is
the flawed one.
37.3 - 36 = 1.3
That's the numbers. I find it unbelievable that any pipe alone can add 20%.
I think them "Husky guys" may be pissing in your ear.
Regardless, KLRs are never going to be race bikes.

Hi,
To comment would not be appropriate!
My dyno graph has been in the archives since I did the runs.
Perhaps you should convert the temp and pressure I gave to ISA and compare
then.
I have only been involved in engine tuning for 30 years so I probably lack a
little experience.
I did not say I enrichened it, just jetted it, which implies that the fuel
air ratio should come out at around 14.7 to 1. I forget the ideal number
maybe 15 to one for rich mixture cooling. The only way to do it is to use a
dyno.
Your original argument is flawed, perhaps you, or I should forward ypur
comment to Mike Young at Big Gun and ask him to comment on your suggestion.
If you did not know he is the drive behind Big Gun also 4 time national 4
stroke champ, one time world champ 4 stroke and a factory rider for Honda,
Huskvarns, ATK and Husaberg.
