tire pressure for gravel roads

Post by Brian Spence » Thu Apr 12, 2001 4:19 am

Hello all, I've been reading alot lately about airing the tires way down for off-road travel and that got me thinking about what would be best for riding on gravel roads. Where I live the gravel roads are more numerous than paved and I'd like to know if anyone has thoughts on if I should keep the pressure up high or let some out for the best traction and stability on the gravel. Also, I just put a new set of Kenda K270's on yesterday and I really like them so far. Took the bike out in some really muddy farm fields and I was quite pleased with the results. I know the stock tires would have left me with a helmut full of mud in no time. Thanks for your input, Brian Spence Y2KLR --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
