Thank you one and all for the great suggestions on draining gas, I will be experimenting with them all (man are my arms tired from lifting the bike-up to pour the gas-out ). Regarding your question Fred, I haven't actually tried unleaded in my MSR yet, I've always used white gas. I know that both my car and my girlfriends have had to have fuel pumps and some fuel lines replaced since the new types of gas came-out. This leads-me to another question regarding stoves though: how's the level of fumes/soot/jet clogging with unleaded (in general/compared to white gas)? I was considering buying the new MSR propane stove that mates indiscriminately with any canister (damned sleazy stoves), because propane stoves are so easy to setup and use which encourages making your own food more often, _but_, I was wondering if the fuel canisters would be difficult and expensive to find sometimes. Besides, my gas MSR is like an old friend and I suppose in an emergency you could pour your stove fuel back into your tank. Would a KLR run if you poured booze into it?
