Well said Nels, as inviting as the late Dan Rosen's videos of Mexico's Copper
Canyon seemed, it is still a whole different country. I believe my
adventurous needs will be well served by annual visits to my favorite
Colorado trails.
Bonus, most times I don't have to get shots at the border to get in, woo
HOO! Happy Trails, Dean : )

The worst thing about Copper Canyon is that there are no Motorhomes, Condos or
Golf Courses. No Mac/Starbucks either for that matter. The only down side is
that Batopilas is a 'dry' town. I wonder what the Spanish for bootlegger is.

Dry town??? hmmmm. I remember siting around the courtyard at the very
plush Hotel Mary drinking something, and I don't think it was soda pop.
Either Batopilas isn't a dry town, or Pancho Villa MotoTours did an even
better job than I gave them credit for.

A small price to pay for an obedient society.

I somehow found myself at the bootleggers house, purely by accident mind
you. That was for beer. A bigger problem was up in Creel. I wanted to take
some Hornitos down just in case I might want to drink some; you never know.
They wouldn't sell it to me till 11:00 am thus delaying my descent. A small
group of locals got a kick out of watching me pour a liter of tequila into a
metal Sigg bottle. Bogdan
