buying on ebay

Post by Joe Blanchard » Thu Mar 01, 2001 10:14 am

I got the "deal of the century" when I bought my 2001 KLR650 off of Ebay. A Marine Corps pilot just received orders to Japan and was unable to take it with him...344 miles on the odometer, and I paid $4K. Best part about the deal was that he lived in Corpus Christi, TX, and my parents are "snowbirding" there. I had my Dad (he owns a GoldWing) go over and check it out before I placed the winning bid. My wife and I were planning on going to Corpus to see my folks in a week anyway, and I'll pick up my new bike then!
