Am I the only one that doesn't have a clue as to what this message is about?

It means Dave is gone and he won't be coming back. Grabbed a fist full of cash
from the drawer, stuffed it in his underwear and told the boss to go f***
himself. Last seen heading for the border with 3 squad cars in hot pursuit,
riding with no helmet or shirt screaming Motorhead lyrics at the top of his
lungs, all the while slugging on a 40 of Jack's and tossing spark plugs over his
shoulder. At least I think that's what it means.

klr fuel tank mod
Posted: Fri Feb 23, 2001 5:14 pm
by ThisisJim1587981@aol.com
Hi fellow KLR riders. I need some info. A while back someone posted
some instructions on modifying the fuel pickup arrangement inside the
fuel tank, I believe using some hosing and a tee fitting. Now that I
have my IMS military style tank, I think I want to accomplish this
mod. Alas, I could not find it at the KLR650DSN web site, under
archives. Can someone pleas send me the instructions or at least
direct me to where they are? Oh, I may have come up with an idea that
will help keep those pesky tubes on the bottom of the tank. One of my
hobbies is fresh water aquariums. I use live plants instead of
plastic ones. Well, anyway, most tropical fish stores sell a package
of small lead bands that are used to secure bunch plants at the
bottom of the tank, so they don't float on ya. Anywho these lead
bands are fairly small, to me they resemble twist ties. I believe
that wrapping one or two to the end of each hose should keep them
placed niceley at the bottom which is where we want our siphon tubes.
I had heard some people were contemplating fishing weights, so I
thought I would share this idea for those who are interested.
Oh, and by the way. The IMS military tank fits much tighter and
cleaner than the non-military unit. (Just in case you are thinking of
purchasing one)
One last question. Does anyone have a Russell seat designed for a
person 6'3" tall @250 lbs. I would like to see about purchasing one.
A last question. Some time ago, a lister posted a list of KLR body
parts for the years in which the plastic was white. I boneheaded and
failed to save that list. Can someone direct me to this list or send
me one? Thanks.
Your Fellow KLR pilot
