new kid questions

Hey Ya'll
new to the group, I'm currently a Tiger Rider, looking for something a
bit easier off road, but still good for longer trips on highway as
well.
without a doubt the KLR has got to be better off road, and lots of
after market stuff for it, but how is it for 400 - 500 mile days in
the saddle? Stock? Better seat?? How's the Vibes??
