(I don't like slamming any bike because after all, someone does own it.
It's their avenue to experience dual sport riding. I think it's more
important to validate the rider for participating in the sport than
being critical of his/her mount.)
Truer words never said. I don't care if I run into someone on a moped,
harley or a wing loaded to the gills. They're a motorcyclist and that
's all that matters to me. I wave and stop and BS if have the chance.
Never know what you can learn from anyone on anything. People cutting
down other people's rides don't impress me none.

You're absolutely right! Why just yesterday I waved at a group of eight
Harley riders as they passed opposite me, and it didn't bother me in the
least that the uppity pricks wouldn't wave back.

This has been discussed before, you have to understand they are afraid to
take their hands off the bars.

I have noticed that they tend to wave back when they're broke down aside the road.

I wave at all bikes. Something I learned from my Dad when I started
riding 35 years ago. BTW, Dad's first of many bikes was back around
1925. He was still riding a 600 Yamaha into his mid 70's.
I actually get quite a few waves back from the Harleys. The ones that
hardly ever wave back are the crotch rockets.
Another thing my Dad taught me was to stop and offer help if I see a
bike stopped along side the road, which back in the "old" days was
quite often.
Last summer I was riding along and saw a Harley guy stopped so I
turned around to see if he needed any help.
Turns out his hands had gone numb from the vibrating and he was just
taking a smoke break until the circulation started back up.
He was about my age and we both had a good bs session going. It kind
of made his day when I stopped to offer help. Several other bikes had
passed right by.
