Ladies/Gentlemen,
Would love to hear opinions on a helmet (full face). Need one, recommend
used? Also affordability is a real issue. Please flood me.

A bunch of dual sporters on every list are using the Nolan N100...it is a flip-up, moderately priced and seems to hold-up under the worst conditions. The latching mechanism requires two hands or some variation. I've had mine for a year and a half and had to take one latch apart and clean it so it would work well. It is somewhere between $180-220 depending on which model and where you buy it. The HJC series helmets are also favorably reviewed for good performance and moderate cost. The more expensive brands are the Arai, Shoei, Bell, Simpson, et. al. the most important thing above all else is to make sure of the fit...nothing ruins the experience more than a too tight helmet...on the other hand it has to be snug... So true. Different brands fit differently. For instance, I can't wear an Arai, they just don't fit the shape of my head. The Shoei 800 fits like they used my head as the mold. Very comfy and a quality product to boot! Steve Davis Eugene> helmet...on the other hand it has to be snug... > > Kurt

Again I say, the one helmet that does all: Nolan N-70 Faceshield and visor, either or both, on or off. Works with goggles or if you prefer the fishbowl experience visor attached and down. $105-130.
