Has anyone out there figured out a good place to store the owners
manuel on the KLR650 without having to dismantel the bike? I've owned
several Hondas in the past and they were all as accessable as the
tool bag. I'm tired of keeping the manuel in my pocket.

No offense Steve but "in your head" ... most owner's manuals are a pretty quick read
and then put in a folder for future generations...you could photocopy a page or two,
put them in a ziploc and put them somewhere, or, type up a spreadsheet or table with
maintenance charts and do the same.
If you've decalifornicated your bike there is a nice bracket available on the left
rear of the bike below the fender where a canister used to be. Morgan has fashioned a
small little stowage box there and that would be a good location.

I just saw one up close and personal the other day...OH. MAH. GAWD.
The thing is SICK! It has 2 auxilliary gas tanks where the rear side panels
would be, an electronic scrolling chart/map holder, fully adjustable
suspension (of course). And the skid plate is so beefy I think rocks would
just run and hide if they saw it coming.
All this for the low low price of $15,730
The dealer mentioned that if I was "price sensitive" there might be a little
room to work...
Yeah, how about $10,000 worth of sensitivity.
Anyway, still dreaming...gotta get that ride before 2005.
