Hey Ed, the best sand dune riding area, and the most popular off-road area in the WORLD, I am talking about Glamis, was shut down by the BLM yesterday. There reason, to save some kind of milk weed that only grows in the Imperial Valley, and settle a lawsuit courtesy of the Sierra Club, Al Gore's best friend. I know a lot of people out here who are "mad as hell and ain't going to take it anymore." The war has started, and you can sit on the sidelines if you want, but Glamis is the off-road equivalent of Pearl Harbor. Either we make a stand at Glamis, or pretty soon they will get the idea that all public land is "their" land, not "our" land. And if you think property rights are not important, just look what is going on in the Middle East. Russel'r DSN_klr650@egroups.com; ThisisJim1587981@... Subject: Re: [DSN_klr650] Digest Number 621 I find it fascinating that the westerners on this list get all excited about "land closures". Hey gang at least the land is still there (and can be reopened). here in the east the land developers helped by their Republican slave dogs heve REALLY closed the land. I'm talking shopping centers, business plazas, housing developments, etc. why don't you all calm down, take a good look free from the BULLSHIT being fed you by the same financial interests that I refer to, and see if you can figure out who the real enemy is. Russell You misunderstand I do not "sit on the sidelines". My perception of who "the enemy" is is simply different from yours. One thing though, I had an uncle die at Pearl Harbor. Your comparison is absurd. Ed Windsor Ohio

guys It's not about Republicans or Democrats! It's about any elected official bowing down to a special interest groups. It's about any of them closing any public land without AT LEAST some input from the general public (the owners of said land). "By the people for the people." Or has that been changed to "By the people and after that I can do what ever I damn well please." Hmmmmm....!!??

Ok Ed, here goes. Pearl Harbor woke America up. We realized we could not sit on the sidelines and watch the war anymore. Now grant you, Glamis is not on the same scale, but it does involve the same principles of freedom against tyranny. And small things quite often grow into large things, if they are ignored while they are still small. The off-road community cannot ignore anymore. If this doesn't help you understand my analogy, I can't help that. For more information about Glamis go here: http://www.glamisonline.org Russell -----Original Message----- From: racing43rd@... Glamis and Pearl Harbor have NOTHING in common and if you can't see that I can say naught. Oh yeah Pearl Harbor was not a small thing. One last thing then I'll bow out and enjoy the responses. I'm sadly afraid Pearl Harbor had more to do with economics than tyranny and freedom. Go for it gang Ed Windsor Ohio

1. analogy -- (similarity in some respect between things that are otherwise dissimilar: ``the operation of a computer presents an interesting analogy to the working of the brain'' ) I guess there is nothing in common between a brain and a piece of silicon. Well, a lot of people who live around Glamis are going to be hurt economicaly. Not to mention all the manufactuers of dune buggys, ATV's, bikes, along with parts and tires. It is an excellent analogy if you understand the definition. Sorry Ed, but I just toasted your arguments. But unlike liberals, its nothing personal, just intellectual superiority :) Well, I've exhausted this thread, class dismissed. Before all the smart people put the kids to bed and go to bed themselves, would soneone get the archives working so I can research motorcycle stuff? Thanks, and a tip of the hat to all the smart people. I don't know how we'd ever get along without you.

Abbra Kadabra Ala Kazam, search engine work, so Bill can ignore the spam! That should take care of it. Sometimes even us "enlightened" people have to resort to a little magic. Russel'r DSN_klr650@egroups.com Subject: [DSN_klr650] Re: Digest Number 621 NKLR But unlike liberals, its
