I did a search for USMC and KLR to see if I could find anything new and
this came up.

Awhile back a PFC went AWOL in the DMZ and got listed as a MIA, but got
picked up by the VC and became a POW. He got out and flew TWA back to
the USA.
He built a shack in Desoto NF and began making LSD and PCP. The USGS
found it and the DEA set up an RV on the Bethel ORV to get the SOB. To
lure the GI, who rode an XR the FDA laid a trail of M&Ms. Along I came
on my ATK when up behind came a CIA agent on a KLR. She didn't check ID
or VIN. She just started shooting every thing from BBs to ICBMs! I had
to leave PDQ! I was so scared I rode like LR, but she rode like MK. She
had that DOHC at 20,000 RPM. We could have taken the overall at any
SERA, BJEC, or SETRA event. We could have brought home gold from the
ISDE. We would have won the USGP of MX. We had more hang time than the
NBA. Finally, she blew the ATF out of her KYBs. She hit so hard she lost
her IUD! She was done for but her GPS sent out VHF and UHF and she put
out a APB.
Now everyone was after me! The ATF was on ATVs, the USFS was on KDXs,
the FBI was on RMXs, the USAF had STOLs, the USMC had VTOLs, and the IRS
had KTMs! ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, ESPN, even QVC and MTV were covering the
chase on TV. They were putting it on VHS for HBO and VCRs. I was bigger
than OJ!
My route sheet showed my WT crossed a PL and hit a PR ahead so I hit it
WFO headed SSW. I switched my ICO to MPH and it blew up. My CDI was
melting the NGK and spin- ning out such VAC that the UFO was putting out
UV. BLP was peeling off my AGV as I passed a MHP. He scanned my RCS and
dropped his BLT and IBC and stomped on 351 CID of SEFI OHV in an LTD.
My premix of STP, GTX, BG, WD(40), and BP was going through the TM at
10,000 CFM and blowing out the FMF at 999,999 PPM and 399 DB. That put
the EPA after me. The UK even sent JB over on SST to satisfy NATO. He
was shooting his PPK from a BSA but the RTV came out ofthe PVC and
clogged the PCV in his SU.
I leaned into a corner like KRJR. I wished for a CBR. I wished my IRCs
were DOT. Suddenly head on came a UPS GMC driven DUI by an AA with no
CDL who was HIV with no RX for AZT.
My EBCs weren't AVS and I smoked the IRC passed the TWI, lost PSI and it
rolled off the DID. It didn't take a PHD with an IBM PC to see I was
SOL! I left the ROW, hit the bank and launched through the PL. I took
out AT&T, ITT, GTE, and MCI. My AGL was high enough to set off SDI and
it fired an ABM! The FAA heard I was flying IFR with only a VDO and shot
AAA at me! I had a BM in my BVDs and no TP! It was so cold up there I
iced worse than a KLM ATR! When I passed a NASA SRB the EAA wanted
plans.
I landed in a KOA, blew out the WPs, slid through a barn and PO'd the
SPCA, AKC and AQHA.
An FMC chartered by the NAACP dodged me and crashed through a KKK rally
for the NRA. I finally came to rest when I hit a TCBY. My ATK was FUBAR
and ready for BFI. An EMT picked me up and called the ER with our ETA.
There an RN thought I was DOA. But the MD was AMA and AMA. He said he
raced a CRE for MSR but it was BS. If my HMO was paid up he said I would
be OK, otherwise he'd give me VD.
The DA came ASAP in his BMW and let me off for PR.

what to ride

I second that notion! Check it out at: http://home.att.net/~timspage/

2000 Concours - A blast for long distance sport touring. I've had it 4 months, and have already been 9K miles in 4 states. The 7.5 gallon gas tank is one of the biggest around and really gets you there.

2000 KLR - Great around town, riding trash roads, or even sport touring. I rode 2,000 miles on it to Pikes Peak earlier this year. It was Great! I've been 13K miles on it in the past 10 months. There is no reason, based on need, to own any other bike than a KLR. Then again, need has nothing to do with it.

1997 VFR - 45K miles in the last 3 years, and all of them by me. Love it, love it, love it. It's been in 9 states, from sea level to 14,000 feet.

1981 Yamaha SR500 - Gotta love this bike. Restored her myself. It's a bute, and fun to ride. Funniest thing is getting new tires at the local shop and watching the kid at the counter break his foot trying to start it. There's no sissy starter button, you've got to kick start, after you use the manual compression release to align the cylinder at TDC.
