Hello Groupies, The Moose knee pads are great. They have an index tab that rests inside the top of MX boots, keeping them in place. An elastic Velcro strap secures the top of the pads around the thigh just above the knee. They are ventilated fabric covered, molded closed-cell foam with a vented hard plastic knee cap. The design keeps air space between pad and leg for hot conditions, and I find knee pads in general help keep cold air from freezing my often jeans-clad knee joints. These particular pads are so comfortable, after the first few minutes of trying them, I forgot they were even there. After a day of thrashing around off highway, they stayed perfectly positioned.
