This posted on the DUST list, please keep Mike Mitten in your prayers..... Gino From the DUST list Hello DUSTers - I'm very sad to have heard and to be delivering this news. I just got a call from Mike Mitten's sister Susanne with the latest news. (If you don't know Mike, he's the list administrator for the DUST mailing list). About five weeks ago, Mike had gotten this third chemo treatment for Burkitt's American Lymphoma. His prognosis at that time was great as it appeared the cancer had gone into complete remission. Unfortunately, just after that he developed pneumonia and has been in intensive care ever since. His body was so strained from the chemo that his immune system was been unable to fight off the pneumonia which has now reached a fatal state. Its is very unlikely that he'll last much longer. As many of you know Mike, I won't bore you by recounting what a great person he is and how much of a loss his seemingly certain death is going to be. I'll make one final posting once I hear about the arrangements. I apologize for being the bearer of such tragic news and for having to deliver it via email. Also, to answer an obvious question, I will be taking over as mailing list administrator for the DUST mailing list.
